The rooms are way bigger and better appointed at Pearl than RM (the rooms at RM had felt luxurious until we went to Pearl). We preferred sunbeds at the quiet end of the pool, but equally could have gone for the beach or the end of the pool where the entertainment happens. The beach area is divine. In terms of facilities, Pearl has larger and nicer rooms, a much larger pool and hottub. The staff is Excellent! My husband also enjoyed a diving excursion with Ben and Ally. Desire Peal Resort & Spa Riviera Maya is ideally located on a stretch of secluded powdered sand beach, at the edge of the picturesque fishing village of Puerto Morelos. Furthermore, I was surprised they were willing to put the charges on a guest who had booked a trip to return so promptly since our last visit. But I dont know them like I do at my home resort. It happened everyday, unless you were willing to stand right in front of her blocking other people, which isn't appropriate. Just our luck! We often split trips starting at TTR and ending at Desire. No room comparison here, but know that Pearl now has the Mansion that has separate amenities, all rooms face the ocean and have private balconies perfect for sex.
